What Be Your Nerd Type?
Your Result: Social Nerd

You're interested in things such as politics, psychology, child care, and peace. I wouldn't go so far as to call you a hippie, but some of you may be tree-huggers. You're the type of people who are interested in bettering the world. You're possible the least nerdy of them all; unless you participate in other activies that paled your nerdiness compared to your involvement in social activities. Whatever the case, we could still use more of you around. ^_^

A cup of Java...

Well it took me a year and a half and I finally wore Megan down. We went to the Champaign County Humane society and found a beautiful black kitten that we are getting. They were calling it Jasmine... but after a few "Jedi mind tricks", I convinced her we should name it Java. I have a history of naming animals after foods. I don't know why, it is just fun. We have to wait until Wednesday to pick her up because they are going to spay her on Monday, and we are going to the Murder by Death concert on Tuesday. The cat is absolutely pure silky shiny black. She is 7 months old.
She is really going to be Jeremy's kitten but I am obviously happy about it.

Change in taste...

As some of you may know, I have almost always been a huge fan of Fender guitars. Last night I finally traded for a Gibson Nighthawk. I have been playing it today and fell in love with it. I have of course torn it completely apart now so that I can repair a few thinkgs and upgrade some others. The nighthawks came with gold hardware and as usuall it has all tarnished. I want to change it to black hardware, but I can't even find gold for it much black sop it looks like I will be painting the original. If you know me very well, you know that I just can't leave anything alone and I have to change things to fit my personality even if it is on a hard to find Gibson Guitar. Well, for now I need to go and put my son to bed.

I'M FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is official... I am completely debt free. I don't owe anybody anything. I have not been completely debt free for over 13 years. Meg and I have been working really hard ever since we started dating to get out of debt (my debt) and now it has happened. We had to make some MAJOR sacrifices along the way, but as of this week it was finally all worth it. We sold our show car, I talked the body shop into totalling my truck after I hit a deer (it was a huge thing for me because I loved my truck), we lived with my in-laws for the first year and a half in the little apartment. Will we ever get back into debt? Absolutely, we want a home that is our own so it is inevetible unless someone leaves us a house first. Feel free to add us to your will. HA ha ha. It is kinda odd to think about jumping into debt right after getting out, it is hard for me to do. I have been working so hard, with much guidance from my wife, okay she did all the work, I just don't want the hassle. I do however want a house. Until then I AM FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Almost...

Well yesterday was almost a good day. I almost got a new job and I almost got a home loan so I could buy a house. Of course neither one of them actually happened. I got beat out for the job at the last minute and my credit score was 12 measly points too low to get the loan. The good things are that I got a $2.00 an hour raise last week at my job and I should be able to get a loan in about three months. So As I said I almost had a good day.

I am excited!!! I finally got to move my jukebox into the living room. This is great because I love to show it off and before now it was in my bedroom. I always felt just a little odd telling my company that I had something that I wanted to show them in my bedroom. More than once I got some sceptical looks from people and maybe a little hesitation. Of course my record collection is still in the bedroom so if they want to pick out something to listen to then they have to go into the bedroom anyway. Oh well. Since we moved everything around in the living room we now have much more room in there than we used to which is nice since Jeremy is becoming more and more mobile these days. It looks more like a fifties diner in the eating area of the room now thanks to the new positioning of the table and the jukebox. Did I mention Jukebox? Well just in case I didn't...I love my jukebox. Okay now I am rambling so I am going to leave.

The Everything Test

There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all.

Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We're turning that upside down - all the questions affect all the results, and we've got some innovative results too! Enjoy :-)

Personality
You are more logical than emotional, more concerned about others than concerned about self, more religious than atheist, more dependent than loner, more lazy than workaholic, more traditional than rebel, more artistic mind than engineering mind, more idealist than cynical, more leader than follower, and more extroverted than introverted.

As for specific personality traits, you are musical (96%), adventurous (95%), artistic (90%), intellectual (87%).

Stereotypes
Emo Kid100%
Punk Rock93%
Old Geezer83%

Life Experience
Sex19%
Substances16%
Travel11%

Politics
Your political views would best be described as Conservative, whom you agree with around 83% of the time.
  Socioeconomic
Your attitude toward life best associates you with Middle Class. You make more than 0% of those who have taken this test, and 65% less than the U.S. average.

If your life was a movie, it would be rated PG-13.
By the way, your hottness rank is 62%, hotter than 88% of other test takers.

Greetings everyone!!!

I am finally a member of Livejounal.  It took me awhile, but I am now officially cool.  Personally this is more than just joining a new place to keep in touch with people.  For me it is a stance that I am taking against the visual bombardment that is unavoidable at Myspace.  Are they going to shut down myspace because I am here and not there? NO!  Do they care that I am not there? NO!  Do people think I am being stupid and immature for leaving because of all the pics of girls in little to nothing? Probably!  Do I feel like I am sacrificing my morals and dragging other people down with me if I stay there? ABSOLUTELY!  So here I am hanging out with you guys now.  I will hopefully be brining others with me here from the myspace world.  Until later,

-Shelby
